So, when’s the last time you gave a flower to Jesus to give to Mary?
It’s hard to find wild flowers to “pick” when it’s absolutely freezing (getting down to +/- 14 degrees F nightly for the past couple of weeks). However, you just have to look. Seeing that the little boy pictured above is giving the most fragile of “flowers” to Mary through Jesus, with all the purity of heart and agility of soul he can muster, I thought I just might try to take such a good example, not that I have either of those traits to any great degree. But, hey, you have to start somewhere, right? It does good for the soul. She’s our mother! I quickly found this dandelion, even though it’s been very blustery. Look at it this way: Jesus creates the flowers for us to pick to give back to Him to give to His mother and ours. It’s just right. And then you might say an act of contrition followed by: “Oh Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.”
