Flowers for the Immaculate Conception (so as to bear fruit edition)

I mean, after all, her Son spoke of how seeds bear fruit all the time.

“… seeds bear fruit all the time.”
Yes, from the beginning of Salvation History until it’s end.
Your “Flowers for the Immaculate Conception” posts stir up memories of what we learnt as children. Our love for and confidence in Jesus’ good Mother took root at that time due to the efforts of our elders: priests, religious sisters and brothers, and one or both parents cooperating with God’s grace, the Church bearing fruit from one generation to the next. Then something terrible happened and that fruitful progression stopped in many Catholic parishes and families.
God’s notice to Satan (Gen 3:15) comes to mind, more and more these last few years and again with your post, “… to bear fruit edition”. “I will put enmities between thee and the woman, and thy seed and her seed …” God said. Our Lord is the fruit of Mary’s womb and we are her offspring too, having been incorporated into her Son at our Baptism. She suffered with Him to bring the Church to fruition and we, it’s members, are to be fruitful too. “Make everything you do a sacrifice” said the angel of Fatima, to “save souls from hell” Our Lady instructed the following year. Faithfulness requires sacrifice, and sacrificial lives and fruitfulness go together … “seeds bear fruit all the time”.
