Flowers for the Immaculate Conception (Brake-Man anticipation edition)

The old Adam in this Holy Week is getting ready to flourish with flowers for the Immaculate Conception. You do remember the old Adam, don’t you? You merely have to look in yourself, but here’s a representation from last year:

Meanwhile, between Brake-Man (here made out of brakes, an appropriate nickname for the old Adam, no?) and the statue of our Blessed Mother is this maple, itself getting ready to put out new brilliant foliage.

Spring must look so beautiful there. Here, pollen from the trees cover all the cars. Still, a child showed me her “baby plant” a Lima bean sprout she had germinated in class, or rather, that had germinated in her class. I put out my finger to feel its tiny leaves and she cried out “be careful!” I just about jumped out of my skin. That plant is in good hands.

Great story. Everything will soon be painted here yellow with pine tree pollen…

Tree pollen! God’s reminder of life and how He arranged to continue that blessing upon earth. All that green is merely “boy” trees searching for “girl” trees so that there will be “baby” trees. So that there will be another generation to keep the earth beautiful, the air clean and breathable, and to attract the blessing of rain. God is such a good Provider. Tree pollen is so inconvenient and so vital.
