Thanks, Fr Clarence Danforth. Without you, where would we be?

I am reminded of the famous Father Clarence Danforth, a great scientist to whom humanity is indebted, and a wonderfully humble priest.

    Jet engines are extremely dangerous when they are running. Did you know that the spiral line on the turbine is to help people know when it is safe to approach an engine? Once the spiral is discernible,the danger of being sucked in from the front, or being harmed by the exhaust in the back is greatly lessened.
