Visit to the Pontifical Biblical Institute

I lived for quite a while just opposite this door. Very convenient, but too expensive. Anyway, up we go to meet Jesus in the staircase.

His mom is now removed from the chapel:

That makes for a marvelous Flower for the Immaculate Conception. It was all apiece with the altar:

I’ve said Mass here in whatever language, Hebrew, Latin, anything, usually Hebrew. This was my refuge, a place to ask Jesus about the Scriptures in which I was immersed.

Anyway, I got credentialed until the next payment is due in some months:

From up inside the library open stacks you see the Gregorian, known elsewhere as the Vigilanza. The Biblicum residence is to the right and Frascara, stomping grounds of the infamous “Sister Nice”, to the left.

Anyway, just making sure it’s still there:

Back to the chapel, as always. Notice this bit on the altar:

The Lion of the Tribe of Judah as a cherub with the sword of Genesis 3:24 and the Scriptures. He is the Davidic Son if Mary, Star of the Sea, in which tumultuous waters we find safe anchorage with faith, hope and charity. That became this:

I like that really a lot. But that was abandoned recently for this:

    Is this the twenty-five angel chapel? (don’t see them all but limited view from here)–how beautiful!

    You should be able to see more than twenty counting the ones with our Lady.
