Flowers for the Immaculate Conception (Maternal severity edition)

Today’s the great Solemnity of the Annunciation and verily of the Incarnation of our Lord. But it’s always the time to put up Flowers for the Immaculate Conception. The above is at Saint Mary (Major Basilica). Let’s take a closer look:

Nope. Not good enough. Let’s make our way past the machine guns and airport-like security and go inside:

Hail, Queen of Peace. She’s looking very severe. Rightly so. She is NOT happy with the war. Neither is Benedict XV.

The Holy Spirit, pointing out Jesus and His dear mother to us (that is just so awesome) indicates the point of the severity of the Immaculate Conception. We are to give the hell recreate a break and take notice of and live out the peace Jesus brings to us, deadly serious.

Because they love us and want us in heaven. It’s good to be reprimanded by a good mother.

Of those in charge of the warring factions only Blessed Karl Hapsburg wanted peace. Pope Benedict XV did what he could to stop the war but the war mongers ignored him too and so our good Mother intervened, accurately sizing up the world situation and delivering Heaven’s peace plan at Fatima in 1917. The powerful, for the most part at least, were not interested and still aren’t. If Blessed Elena Aiello and Pope St John Paul the Great were correctly reported, Our Lord called the leaders of this world “specimens infernal” in a communication with Sister about half way through the 20th century, and toward the end of that century JP II stated that our leaders had “declared war on peace”. And now we are on the brink of WWIII. The UN tells us that education and more laws will bring about the brotherhood of man but they are wrong. We only have true fraternity in Christ and without Him there is no peace. Our Lady and her little ones know but the “wise” of this world just don’t get it. WWIII is looming because they won’t acknowledge, let alone listen to, the Mother of God who wants to save us from disaster in this life and eternity in hell hereafter.

We already did the Annunciation at the Byzantine church, then went right in to Palm Sunday. We celebrate everything without moving things around
