“Thank God for persecution. It means Jesus still loves His Church.”

I told my friend in the Holy See that the Church in the United States is soon going to suffer a terrible persecution. He immediately responded: “Thank God for persecution. It means Jesus still loves His Church.” Indeed, as the Master, so the disciple. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven.

We are going through a cleansing, Father. It is one that includes the purification of fire. Christ is merciful to His Bride Most Merciful Lord, please forgive us all.

All you say is true. We were warned when Jesus offered His Divine Mercy that retribution was coming. Jesus I trust in You!
This doesn’t mean that this isn’t very scary. I know how weak I am – any advice to help us toughen up? Spiritual Boot Camp?
