My boarding security: Always interesting.

  • Flight’s an hour late. Ok.
  • On my way to get the boarding pass nice lady number one directing passengers and checking tickets gave me a wide eyed look and sent me through the ropes.
  • Nice lady number two randomly in the ropes saw the security stickers on the passport and whisked me through removing ropes for me.
  • Nice lady number one came running after me to put on other security stickers.
  • At the gate, nice lady number three came out of the plane, walked right over to me, asked if I was on this flight, then asked for my ticket, then marched right back into the plane.
  • At the final check while actually boarding, nice lady number four pulled me aside for a special check. I asked what the special gadget was and I guess I was so soft spoken that she told me: it’s for bomb sniffing.
  • That’s my fate on the DARPA COMPASS program. At least I’m not on a no fly list!
