“Elections” and choosing who wins

Town of Lake Santeetlah Election

The paper in fact reported that the vote was basically unanimous for Diana Simons. Note that she was a write-in candidate. Total landslide for her. And then this email was sent out. Some of the locals were wondering why on earth one would have an election and then afterward say that the election is totally irrelevant to the election. I’m sure that there will be an explanation that will satisfy the town officials.

Someone said: It isn’t the people who vote that count; it’s the people who count the votes.

Operative words…”there will be an explanation that will satisfy the town officials.”

What have we come to? Our deceased veterans and forefathers must be rolling in their graves.
