Primary Super Tuesday in NC

“001” — Yours truly was the first to vote this morning. 6:30am to the second. I’m writing this at an 8:30am appointment @100 miles away in East Asheville.

It’s one of those “Day Off” things today. All sorts of appointments today one contingent on another.

I wanted to put up this rather in-your-face bragging about voting since I’m aghast that apparently a bishop (not mine!) Suggested strongly to his priests that they NOT vote lest it be later discovered which party priests might belong.

Decades ago, I had always heard that it would be a matter for Confession if one did not vote. Anyway, I voted! Looking up candidates’ names is a revelation.

I am surprised to learn that abstaining from voting was once a sin. I have always voted until our last three elections and then for various reasons have abstained.

  2. God bless you, Father. You are a good example.
