God is calling the shots!! He is leading me this Lenton year.
I wrote to a friend before Lent and was idly wondering what I should do in the way of Devotions, etc. I selected certain prayers etc. to follow throughout, I had everything planned out.
SUDDENLY, two days after Ash Wednesday, I was dodging two snow storms flying to my destination and find myself on the other coast of Canada caring for a sick family member with young children. Then I’m caught in this pandemic frenzy like everyone else in the heart of a big city. I feel like God has thrown me into the whirlwind. I haven’t had a quiet or peaceful moment for reflection or prayer. Now, I have to search out time to be with God. Everything is on the fly, so to speak. I keep sending God arrows of prayer. However, in my heart I know He is leading me. Wow, this is a Lent to remember! The God of Surprises has struck again!

Funny! I love the last one — it’s so scientific.

I am hoping that all the bishops’ conferences around the world have been alerted and will respond to the invitation by the Portuguese bishops to join with them in consecrating their countries to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary tomorrow, Wednesday 25th.

Aussi mum – Mgr Aupetit the Archbishop of Paris has asked people to put a candle in their window this evening and the church bells will ring out in France.
