Pope Francis is in a really cool photo above. Like, wow! The same gesture as Jesus behind him. But it’s really difficult to surmise what is actually happening in that photo above given his pontificate, all of the misleading, ambiguous statements, apparent total hatred for both tradition and Sacred Tradition, for Sacred Scripture and Magisterial interventions across the centuries. Pope Francis has now used the occasion of a non-infallible biography about himself in order to let it be known that, in his opinion, same sex “unions” must be civilly recognized so that that enamored same sex couples living together will be protected by law and… then… of course… by law enforcement.
“It’s not same sex marriage that I’m talking about!” Pope Francis shrieks. “It’s only a same sex civilly recognized ‘union’!”
What a crock. Same sex couples can certainly lust after each other – how disgusting – but that doesn’t mean that such activity based on inversion is that which grants any “union” legal or personal. It would not be marriage even if you called it marriage. Even if you witnessed wedding vows of a same sex couple (as did Joe Biden) that wouldn’t make it a marriage. Even if a priest in a church were to witness such preposterous blasphemous sacrilegious vows it would not be a marriage.
Marriage must be witnessed before God and man and be between one man and one woman with the intention to have children until death do they part.
Marriage and family is about the image of God as we read about with our creation by God in Genesis chapter 1. Same sex couples are all about destroying the image of God. Jesus redeemed the image of God in us by Himself marrying His Bride, the Church. He did this by a mercy founded on justice, taking our place, the Innocent for the guilty, so that He might have the right in His own justice to have mercy on us. At the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, the Last Supper, the Wedding Banquet of the Lamb, we see His wedding vows united with Calvary: This is my Body given for you in sacrifice. This is the Chalice of my Blood poured out for you in Sacrifice. Total self-sacrificing giving to His Bride the Church. Providing His grace to us while we remain in this world with all the just effects of original sin chosen with the sin, we can validly make true wedding vows to love the other instead of merely use the other. Same sex “unions” are all about using the other person. If there was true love, it would be to live chastely, encourage the other person to live chastely, and NOT live together.
The only reason to have a same sex couple live together is to actively feed a disordered psychological state involving attraction to the body of the same sex partner. Pope Francis… or Scicluna… or Martin… or McCarrick… might think that living together is not an occasion of sin for the same sex couple. Maybe. What a crock. The fact is that this is a grave occasion of sin, sharing a shower, sharing a bed, you know, sharing.
Let’s take a look at another image of Christ, that is, the anti-Christ, who looks like Jesus. Satan, naked, is behind him. Here’s the question: whose hand is coming out from under the cloak? Look again. The anti-Christ is the puppet of Satan…
The pedestal that they are on has an image of the false prophet Balaam beating his donkey. The Dominican friar below, axed in the head, is what the anti-Christ and Satan are pointing to. This is what it’s all about: murdering the saints.
Read the whole of Romans chapter 1. Just do it. Frightening. I regret all the souls who will cave into lust after the comments of Pope Francis and risk going to hell. I regret that this kind of scandal is what can make one risk going to hell. Pope Francis, come back to Jesus!
Also, this is, I agree with many, that which may be seen as an attempt to derail the re-election of President Trump.
Also, you have to know, no one cares for and loves homosexuals more than the Catholic Church. We want them to live chastely, to be pointed to heaven, to become great, great saints. The Catholic Church (whatever about Pope Francis) preaches the truth in presenting the very clear truth of the Scriptures. The truth will set you free. Jesus will set you free. The Holy Spirit will give you great, great joy.
Pray for Pope Francis. Don’t hate him. Don’t be misled by him. Love your enemies. Pray for him. Hail Mary…

A headline in a British newspaper today describes this move as one which threatens to split the Church in two. Judging by the comments it certainly looks as if this is happening – there are ‘liberal’ Catholics rejoicing while ‘traddies’ condemn this news.
I was out leaf lurking (not in your neck of the woods though) when this bruhaha broke, so I have had the advantage of hearing what others said the Holy Father said or meant. In addition to what you wrote, Thank you very much, and Bishop Schneider, the Church’s teaching does not evolve in the way some hope it will. I hope that people come to realize, especially in the USA, that in other countries, people of SSA could be put on the chopping block, literally. Maybe Pope Francis was speaking to that, in wanting to protect civilly? Anyhow, thank you Father.
