The Jasmine are just now exploding in honor of the Immaculate Conception out front of the rectory. The Jasmine is held up by “Brake Man”, a monstrous image of Adam, made entirely of brakes, Adam, who put the brakes on sanctifying grace for all his descendants, but immediately provoking the occasion for the promise of our redemption to be made by Yahweh Elohim in Genesis 3:15. The Jasmine are little pure white crosses, the perfect image of God’s grace shining out from the souls of all those being saved, and that salvation, you have to know, is happening all the time everywhere. There’s much darkness and chaos. But Jesus and our Blessed Mother are always at work having those crosses of purity of God’s sanctifying grace blooming in the souls of the elect.
With Saint Ambrose and Saint Augustine exclaim: “O felix culpa quae talem et tantum meruit habere redemptorem” — “O happy fault that merited such and so great a Redeemer”.
That Woman of Genesis 3:15, the Immaculate Mother of the Redeemer, will have the last laugh with her Divine Son over that “happy fault.”
