I think I must have put on a thousand miles+ or so in the last week. So. Many. House. Blessings. So many hospital or car-repair or other trips. It’s all good. One of those trips, well over 400 miles (with a detour) was to the now traditional Bishop’s Advent Meal for the priests both secular and religious serving in the diocese, along with the great Abbot of Belmont Abbey. It’s always good to catch up with the priests, a rare opportunity this past couple of years. Not one mask was to be seen anywhere. The Vicar General gave us an introduction to activities concerning the 50th anniversary of the Diocese of Charlotte.
Since I’m so very far away from the center of the diocese and since it’s been so very long since I’ve been able to speak with the Bishop, we were both happy to take the opportunity when everyone else had departed. He was grateful for what we’ve been able to do to keep up the campuses in these years. We now have three of four buildings reroofed. We’ve been successfully battling the mold, a huge victory. I spoke of the joy we have with Adoration and Confessions and Mass.
He was very interested in the history of the TLM in the parish and how it came about that we are now offering the TLM with some frequency. He agreed to the pastoral exigency. The schedule will be 12:00 Noon on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and then also 11:00 AM on Sundays, all at Holy Redeemer Parish Church in Andrews. Thanks be to God. Thank you for your prayers.
TLM is very important, glad that we have it here in NC, God bless you Fr. George and God bless our Bishop!
Thanks be to God!
Deo gratias!
Wish I lived close😥. No TLM here. God bless you…
This is news well-worth celebrating. Thanks be to God our Father!
Are you doing well? It seems you are perpetually on the run trying to do all of what the Good Lord asks you to do.
How ls Sassy doing. I hope she is restored to you hale and hearty very soon.
Haven’t heard about Laudie Dog and Shadow Dog recently. How are they?
