The exuberance of the exclamation “Que soy era Immaculada Councepciou” in 1858 is set against the rising of “modernist” “biblical scholarship” that will shred Genesis 1-3 in a mill of intensifying political-correctness of anti-Semitism. Mary is today, in fact, she who is, in fact, The Woman of Genesis 3:15 back in the day, she who is, in fact, not the wife of fallen Adam, but rather the Immaculate Mother of the Redeemer closer to our own time. So, if we were to respect the inspired text, going against all politically correct anti-Semitism, what would we have? Behold:
Thank you, Jesus, for granting your own Mother such purity of heart and agility of soul and clarity of spiritual sight and such immensity of understanding. Thank you, Mary, for suffering the beholding of the reality of who we are in our fallen state before God, for beholding your Son standing in our place, the Innocent for the guilty. Sorrowful because Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us that you might have the joy of bringing us to our Savior, bringing other brothers and sisters of Jesus to the Light of the Nations.

I watched the Mass from the Underground Basilica in Lourdes today. Wonderful to see people are flocking back there. American readers may not know that it is possible to watch major ceremonies live from Lourdes on the French Catholic Channel KTO available on the Internet. If the difference in time is not convenient then there is always the possibility of watching the video.

Tomorrow the 9th December we will know the future plans for the great cathedral of Notre-Dame in Paris. Fingers crossed!
Before we all get het up about modern additions to the cathedral perhaps we should remember that the spire dates from 1859 and the magnificent golden cross, which shone out from the debris after the fire, on the High Altar only dates from 1994.
Thank you for including your Genesis Thesis (again). Third page, bottom paragraph, even before the TOC, I learned a new word for me: Orthographic. This is going to take me a long time to get through. God willing, one day!
The online newspaper ’20 minutes Paris’ states that the ‘experts de la patrimoine’ ( heritages experts) have given the green light for the projects put to them with three major exceptions.
‘No object or picture which was in the cathedral prior to the fire will be removed although modern works may be placed next to them. The choir will not be made a place of prayer to protect it’ and they are not keen on the idea of ‘ benches on castors with lights.’ They want to see a prototype to be submitted to them first before agreeing.
There appears to be no mention of light projections. It also mentions that the altar, baptistery and tabernacle should be designed by one person. I did not know that the altar (presumably the secondary one in front of the High Altar) was going to be replaced but if this is so I for one will not be upset.
