Latin & ad orientem forbidden in Novus Ordo? Since when is acting ultra vires legit?

I’m that overwhelmed altar boy. I’m that priest offering Mass in Latin. But it seems that every day (Cardinal)(Arch)bishops are dictatorially, tyrannically forbidding Latin and ad orientem worship in the Novus Ordo, which directly contradicts the validly celebrated ecumenical council of Vatican II and directly contradicts both the Institution of the Missal (otherwise called the GIRM) and also the in-line rubrics printed in the Altar Missal, not to mention Post-Conciliar Papal interventions such as Paul VI’s Iubilate Deo, none of which was never rescinded. These (Cardinal)(Arch)bishops hypocritically shriek: “To hell with Vatican II and all post-Conciliar reform! I’m the one! I’m the only one!”

So, as (Cardinal)(Arch)bishops forbid such things, the question is this: can they do this legitimately? Are they acting ultra vires, beyond their powers?

The answer comes from expert Canon Lawyers and Liturgists. No. It’s not legit. But then they are quick to add: “But if you don’t submit to their tyrannical hatred of Christ, they have a thousand ways to F*** you up. And they will. And they have always done this: “No one in Rome is going to take the side of the law, or stand with Christ Jesus, and certainly they will not come to your rescue. Get over it.”

So, my question is this: If everyone is compliant with effeminate (Cardinal)(Arch)bishops steamrolling over the Sacred Liturgy, over Christ, over Jesus’ priests, who is it that will ever stand alongside Jesus in His trials? Anyone? Ever? Jesus doesn’t say, “Blessed are you who ran away so as not to stand with me in my trials.” No. He said: “Blessed are you who have stood by me in my trials.”

I love your courage and your guidance to us laity. We need more priests like you.

We need priests and bishops to get their own hell out of the way so that Jesus can get to work as the One High Priest.

    • you have to remember one thing. What did Jesus say to St Peter?

So, no, His true church is not gone. It is exactly where it is supposed to be. alter boy. Old testament says, God will destroy the nations, Yes, in these times. And He is doing it. Same as sending in flaming balls of fire that will hit the earth. He also told you that. Among st other things. So when that ball of flaming fire hits Jorge right in the ass at his messed up satanic altar, Do not be surprised when there is no more Rome anymore. Or any United Nations full of Freemasons. They will all kill each other. So it is written, so be it. “What shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”

I am pleased to say that at the two parishes where I attend the TLM both Masses are listed in their respective newsletters and online.

Re “I’m the one! I’m the only one!”
Such is the narcissistic attitude at the root of all heresies for, as St Augustine points out, “If you believe what you like in the gospels, and reject what you don’t like, it is not the gospel you believe, but yourself.” The ultimate fruit of that, as Father observes, is a “tyrannical hatred of Christ” and “(prelates) steamrolling over the Sacred Liturgy, over Christ, over Jesus’ priests”. G K Chesterton saw this horror coming to a head more than 100 years ago when he wrote: “There are those who hate Christianity and call their hatred an all-embracing love for all religions” (online quote from the Illustrated London News, Jan 13th 1906). Hence Pope Francis’ Document on Human Fraternity (Abu Dhabi, 4 February 2019) promoting the blasphemy that all religions are equal, conflating God’s allowance of many religions because of man’s free will with God’s Will; and then the sacrilege that followed that blasphemy 8 months later: Pope Francis having an offering to the demon goddess Pachamama placed upon the altar at St Peter’s during the closing Mass of the Amazon Synod, Walking Together, 27 Oct 2019.
“Things accelerate toward the end”, it is said, and we do seem to be approaching an end, be it the end of Salvation History or a stark preview of it. “The issue is now clear. It is between light and darkness and every one must choose his side” (Chesterton’s last words on his death bed). No wonder Our Lord called for devotion to His Sacred heart and the Sorrowful and Immaculate Heart of His Mother in these our Modern Times. Eucharistic Adoration and devotion to the Two Hearts are so urgent now. Please keep your notes / meditations coming on the the Two Hearts Rosary, Father.

Incidentally all NO Masses at the main parish I attend have been ad orientem for several years. Work had been done on the Sanctuary leaving a large hole so Fr R had to say Mass in front of the altar. I suggested the hole should be ‘permanent’ until everyone got used to it then ‘forget’ about changing back which he did.
At my territorial parish Fr B reverted to ad orientem one Advent explaining the reason and then continued. Sadly he was sent to another parish a couple of years later and the new priest has reverted back to ad populum.

  5. I’m not the biggest fan of the Latin because I was never taught the language. I always hoped that the Vatican 2 Mass would turn the altar back ad orientem. Therefore I am not a narrow minded traditionalist. I do think some of the religious top brass fear a traditional Latin Mass or anything shying away from the current progressive contemporary liberal leaning liturgy. It’s Fear Fear Fear that is causing those leaders to inflict illegitimate mandates on parishes. The liturgical mandates mimic the pandemic mandates ! I am thrilled that priests are fighting those absurdities, and I would be elated to have an opportunity to attend an ad orientem Mass in any language. I do wish someone would spill some ink on what the liberal leaders are fearful of regarding the TLM.

Latin makes it hard to mess with. TLM is hard to mess with. N.O. in ecclesiastical culture almost requires messing up.

  6. Why can’t anyone spit it out and say the TLM or any form of traditional Catholicism is an assault on mainstream modern leftist progressive ideology.
