So, do you see what I’ve done here, what’s going on in heart and soul when it is our Immaculate Mother who is offended?

I see the tragically beautiful statue of Our Lady, I see the redbuds and I see the statue of Elijah slaying the priest (had to look that up) but no, dum dum me does not see what you’ve done. That priests who do not embrace their vocation as another Christ are like Judas??
One (fallen man) deserves the sword for his sins, and yet the other (the sinless one) has suffered even more blows to the heart … and all for sins she (the Immaculate Conception) has not committed. The rose coloured buds bring rose vestment to mind: the penitential purple mixed with white to announce that the celebration of our redemption is at hand. The Immaculate Conception / Our Lady of Sorrows is Co-Redemptrix, having suffered with her Son (the Redeemer) so our sins can be forgiven.
ohhhh, that just made me swallow my pride. Good one.
Nancy, I’m so pleased you identified the statue of Elijah. I had no idea who the two men represented were until I read your comment. Do you know what the plaque beside Elijah’s leg has upon it? I can make out the crown above it but when I try to zoom in on the plaque it all becomes a blur. I am wondering if it might have something to do with the Carmelites.
