Biden admin to require abortion, ‘sex change’ coverage on health plans, Catholic group warns

Matt Lamb Thu Apr 14, 2022 LifeSiteNews – […] The Catholic Benefits Association (CBA) said a leftist group called the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights has been working with the administration to craft regulations “to include surgical abortion, cross-sex hormones, gender-transition surgeries, gender-affirming cosmetic surgeries and voice modification — along with a host of expanded services dealing with fertility treatments, contraception, abortifacients and sterilizations,” Crux reported.
“The memo prepared by the Leadership Conference provides the best forecast of what the new regulation will say,” attorney Martin Nussbaum, a legal advisor to CBA, told Crux for an April 5 article. “We don’t know for sure what the regulation will say but there is good reason to believe that it will be quite similar to the memo signed on by 30 sexual rights activist groups including Planned Parenthood.”
CBA first heard of the possibility of new regulations after due to a reference in a court filing last year.
There would be no religious exemptions to the rule. “The forthcoming (HHS) regulation presents an existential threat to Catholic health care because the penalties to noncompliance will likely include private enforcement, class-action lawsuits, ‘qui tam’ actions, which is where an individual can file a lawsuit as if he or she were the United States itself,” Nussbaum said. “The penalties may also include loss of Medicare and Medicaid funding and even imprisonment for noncomplying health care executives.”

My question: How many bishops do you know who will fight against this, meaning that they will cancel the insurance programs for their priests and employees of whatever (arch)diocese, quite directly causing a few deaths of many retired elderly priests and others to die for lack of proper health care?
My question: Given the situation of any bishop who would choose not to lead his (arch)diocese to heaven, but rather chooses to conform everyone and everything in his (arch)diocese to the culture of death and discipleship to Satan, the murderer and liar from the beginning, how many priests do you know who will voluntarily reject their health plans, and if that doesn’t work because there’s no chancery rat anywhere who would tolerate that kind of insubordination, how many priests are there, I ask, that you know who will make such a public stink about wanting to get off the group insurance that the (arch)bishop will comply with the desires of the priest by, say, first of all removing him from any public assignment because of his otherwise being a liability?
My answer to the second question: You know at least one priest: yours truly. If I die because I cannot get proper medical treatment because I don’t want to pay for abortions and abortifacients and contraception and the sexual abuse of little children by way of subsidizing surgical sex changes of little kids mandated by “parents” or “guardians” or “teachers” or some government official, well, then I die, just like we’re all going to die much sooner than later anyway. I wanna do the right thing. I wanna go to heaven. This is not suicide. This is just doing the right thing no matter what, you know, carrying the cross and following Jesus, as we all must. It’s like Jesus said: “As the Master, so the disciple.”

I fear more for the ever so clever and sophisticated and up-to-date souls of those who immerse themselves in the culture of death than I do for my own demise at their hands. I’d much rather people convert so as to rejoice with the risen Lord Jesus, and therefore not be afraid, knowing that our Lord calls us friends. But we have to say Yes to Jesus’ invitation He repeats so frequently after the resurrection:
- “Be not afraid.”
- “I call you friends.”
