RESCRIPTUM EX AUDIENTIA SS.MI, 21.02.2023
[B0150]
The Holy Father, at the Audience granted on Feb. 20 to the undersigned Cardinal Prefect of the Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, confirmed the following about the implementation of his Motu Proprio Traditionis custodes of July 16, 2021.
These are dispensations reserved in a special way to the Apostolic See (cf. C.I.C. can. 87 §1):
- the use of a parish church or the erection of a personal parish for the celebration of the Eucharist using the Missale Romanum of 1962 (cf. Traditionis custodes art. 3 §2);
- the granting of license to presbyters ordained after the publication of Motu proprio Traditionis custodes to celebrate using the Missale Romanum of 1962 (cf. Traditionis custodes art. 4).
As stipulated in Article 7 of Motu proprio Traditionis custodes, the Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments exercises the authority of the Holy See in the above-mentioned cases, supervising the observance of the provisions.
Should a diocesan bishop grant dispensations in the two cases mentioned above, he is obliged to inform the Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, which will evaluate the individual cases.
Moreover, the Holy Father, confirms – having already expressed his assent in the audience of November 18, 2021 – what was established in the Responsa ad dubia with the attached Explanatory Notes of December 4, 2021.
The Holy Father also ordered that this Rescript be published in L’Osservatore Romano and subsequently in the official commentary of the Acta Apostolicae Sedis.
From the Vatican, February 20, 2023
Arthur Card. Roche
Prefect
Comment: I am told by a great canon lawyer that if a Mission Church is converted to a diocesan shrine of some kind, all is well again.
This is so sad. I am reminded of Jesus’s words on the Cross, “Father, forgive them; they know not what they do”…do the Pope and Cardinal Roche really know what they are doing? And if so, and they do it anyway, God forgive them – and they are facing huge purgatory time.
So, what is being said by Church “authorities” is that the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in certain circumstances (the Mass using the Missale Romanum of 1962) can be and is presently banned by the Pope unless he authorises otherwise. Said banning is impossible – Christ’s vicar on earth cannot ban the Holy Sacrifice of the Cross! What missal is used is irrelevant if its use truly makes present Our Lord’s Sacrifice on Calvary. That the Missale Romanum does this is not in contention.
As much as I hate to say it, Pope Francis is either delusional and unknowingly serving the devil or doing so knowingly. If you do not post this comment, Father, I understand but I have to write it anyway for this rot is too much to take and keep quiet.
Why might Pope Francis be doing this when it cannot be the will of Christ, since it is Christ’s Sacrifice to free us from sin that Pope Francis thinks, or pretends, he has the power to ban?
A possible scenario:
1. Ban the Mass using the Missale Romanum of 1962 to convince the faithful that Pope Francis has the power to ban the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass using whatever previously approved missal. It will also help if the FBI are on board and plant the seed that Catholics who attend the Latin Mass are dangerous fanatics.
2. Make and impose a “new mass” with a new missal for the 21st century which is said to make present Our Lord’s Sacrifice on Calvary but does not. Make sure it looks “inclusive” and hence caring to suit modern minds fearful of being painted “fundamentalist rat-bags” like “ignorant Catholics of the past”. Perhaps the FBI or the media could continue helping with such labelling.
3. Ban Holy Mass offered using any and all previously approved missals, allowing only the “new mass” of Pope Francis which is a diabolic counterfeit and perversion of the real Sacrifice of the Mass.
I hope this is not Pope Francis’ plan but it may well be. There is certainly reason to think so.
I know little of Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich but it is said she foresaw a new mass which was the opposite of the true Mass. Some incorrectly thought she was referring to the Novus Ordo and weaponised that idea against the faithful who attended Mass according to the Ordinary Form of the Roman Rite. I know this from personal experience as I was on the receiving end of verbal attacks claiming I was a heretic for attending Mass in the vernacular.
Do I think the Mass in the Ordinary Form of the Roman Rite is perfect? Yes I do for it is the re-presentation of Our Lord’s Sacrifice on Calvary, as is the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite and the Holy Mass in other Rites of the Catholic Church. Do I think it is perfectly carried out in every parish of the world? No I do not. There are abuses, poor translations and more but Christ’s Sacrifice is what is perfect and the “New Mass of Paul VI”, as the Novus Ordo is often called, is not the “new mass” foreseen by Blessed Emmerich – That is still to come.
Aussie Mum, thank you. Your 2nd paragraph, yes.
