UPDATE: This priest changed the anti-Semitism of the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey

On top is the original post. Scroll down for the surprising update. ///

Have our U.S. Jewish or U.S.-Israeli Dual-Citizenship friends been cancelled by the American Community Survey of the U.S. Census Bureau of the U.S. Department of Commerce? I’m guessing that the anti-Israeli “Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions” (BDS) movement is strong in the ACS, Census Bureau and the Dept of Commerce. After all, (1) Arab League countries are included, such as with Lebanon and Egypt under “White” and, in contrast, (2) I’m guessing that everyone knows about what happened recently in Charlottesville against the Jews:

“I’m here for killing Jews” says the militant white supremacist in Charlottesville.

Do our Jewish friends identify the same as White Germans? Really? You’re going to make them say that?

Do our Jewish friends identify as the “White” Arab League countries named? Really? You’re going to make them say that?

Oh! My bad. I get it. Jews are relegated to writing in something with the last line: “Some other race – Print race or origin. What that means, though, is that they are not good enough to be White, you know, like the Lebanese on the northern border or the Egyptians on the southern border, or the Hitlerians still round about, say, in Suitland, MD. What that says is that Israel has no right to exist and must be annihilated from the face of the earth. Yep.

About that last line in the form – “Some other race – Print race or origin” – I would be tempted to write in “God’s ‘chosen people'” (Isaiah 43:30), you know, just to give everyone at the anti-Semitic ACS, Census Bureau, Commerce Department a heart attack. In case they claim to be Christian, I cite Jesus:

  • “Salvation is from the Jews” – Jesus (John 4:22).

Those who are marginalized, put beyond the peripheries, thrown into last place, will be first. Remember, as Saint Paul says:

  • “They are Israelites; theirs the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises; theirs the patriarchs, and from them, according to the flesh, is the Messiah. God who is over all be blessed forever. Amen.” (Romans 9:4-5)

UPSHOT: This is yet another reason among so very many why I absolutely will not, as a Catholic Priest, respond to the American Community Survey, even though if not doing so may well earn me Congressionally sanctioned penalties of up to $5,000.00 in fines and up to five years in a Federal Penitentiary. What a bunch of Neo-Nazis, right? Just a question. When you’re looking for genocidal criminals, sometimes you have to know that they may well come to knock on your door when they surmise that you are not complying.

Of course, I still bait them, advertise where I am. It’s not that I’m hiding. Here’s a picture from the slightly revised back of Sassy the Subaru, being more explicit about my dad’s foray’s into service for God and neighbor, always retaining my version of the Israeli flag:

Come and take me! While they pout about all this clarity over against their lack of capacity to be social justice warriors – so easy to see through their anti-American identity politics – making them frustrated and boorish and, I’m quite sure, violent bullies… meanwhile, must I really continue to point out why I can’t comply with such hateful madness in future posts?

I mean, I think all the posts I’ve written on this already should suffice to get some people fired and perhaps jailed for abuse of power over against we the people. Hey! That’s an idea!

Let’s see… who might be able to spearhead litigation or better, a Congressional inquiry, on something like this? Maybe the Simon Wiesenthal Center. After all, they are known for Holocaust research and remembrance, hunting Nazi war criminals, combating anti-Semitism, tolerance education, defending Israel, and its Museum of Tolerance.

UPDATE: After a blusterous apology for their racism some weeks ago (which seems to have disappeared!), here is what is now, at any rate, instead presented by the American Community Survey of the U.S. Census Bureau of the Department of Commerce, meaning, I win. ;-)

I still hope that the Jews write in at the very end: “The Chosen People.” ;-)

Nazi-hunting trophies, guns, swords: need help for dates, places, ranks…

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is wp-16125264106916678056941877162982.jpg

The Luger Pistole Parabellum 9mm was made in a number of configurations from 1898 to 1948, and was used throughout the Wehrmacht during both World Wars I and II. It’s symbolic of Nazi Germany. The markings on this particular Lugar pictured above put it at a manufacturing date just in time for World War I. But someone more expert than I will have to look up the serial number pictured further below. This Nazi sidearm was likely used by a young soldier in World War I, who was so attached to it that as he rose through the ranks in now Nazi Germany he added the Swastika.

The gun below was captured from this Nazi monster in Germany in the early 1940s by a young American soldier who passed it along to his son, now himself much older. It’s a trophy which, because it is a trophy, mocks the impotent Third Reich.

Over the decades, advances were made in the mags, which finally allowed a view of remaining ammo.

If anyone has the wherewithal to provide an exact date and location please drop a comment on this post.

Here are some random examples of the same or similar decal work. I’m guessing that the differences regard diversity of branches of the military or intel or perhaps rank:

Meanwhile, to help the story along a bit, there’s another trophy, not certain it’s from the same Nazi guy, but I’m told that that’s the story in recall. It’s a parade sword with rubies for eyes for the lion-hand-guard. Not sure of the other symbolism or what rank one would have to have in order to carry this. If anyone knows something about this, again, please drop a comment on this post. Sorry, but it looks like the Nazi guy from whom this sword was captured was run through with it right up to the hilt; I’m guessing that’s his blood still on the sword after all this time. I asked the owner and he said that such was his guess as well.

I asked the guy if I could put these pictures up on the blog not giving any names or locations, and he readily agreed, as long as I didn’t where or who, lest neo-Nazis kill him him to get it back.

There are a thousand reasons why this affected me deeply enough for me to take these pictures and share them with you. For instance:

  • The other day I ran a bunch more of my ancestors names (newly discovered the other day) on the USHMM site and discovered that these were frequent names related to Nazi “Final Solution” camps. Sigh.
  • Just the other day I also (re)watched a few videos:

I carry all this in my soul…

  • Romans 9:4-5 — They are Israelites; theirs the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises; theirs the patriarchs, and from them, according to the flesh, is the Messiah. God who is over all be blessed forever. Amen.

Flowers for the Immaculate Conception (Sincerity ≠ Justification edition)

img_20190309_102400~25946352386819968498..jpg

Last Summer, a dear reader who is way too good to me had me take a picture of one of her large flowering plants, saying that it would be good as one of the “Flowers for the Immaculate Conception” editions.

“But it’s a tall plant with seven-fold fingery green leaves that look like marijuana!” I objected.

“It’s not marijuana!” she said.

“But, but…” I objected.

“Grrrr…” she said.

So I put it up:

img_20180821_153526448~28584032532406839686..jpg

What do I know about marijuana? Nothing. Would my guardian angel smack me down for giving marijuana to Mary? I put it up. No one knew the name of this plant. Such a risk! But then, recently (though now well past my birthday) this wonderful reader gave me the card pictured above with this message inside:

img_20190309_102432~22842645217336106589..jpg

Haha! A CLEOME! NOT marijuana. I’m happy to have given that flower to the Immaculate Conception. But what if it had been marijuana, would my sincere gift have been rejected by Mary. No. Not in this case. Because it’s neither here nor there as regards morality. It’s merely the intention that counts in this case.

But a question arises: Does sincerity equal justification in all cases?

This is a question which came up in class from a young seminarian classmate of young seminarian Joseph Ratzinger. His fellow student asked whether or not Hitler could go to heaven justified by his at least self-perceived sincerity to assist humanity in having a “final solution” for “purifying the race.” Young Joseph was appalled and sickened by the question, and says that that was when he instantly understood with the clarity of a lightning bolt that sincerity doesn’t justify, an erroneous conscience doesn’t justify, feelings and emotions do not justify. Only the sanctifying grace provided to us by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ justifies, coming to us, as it does, with supernaturally provided faith, hope and charity. We are not our own saviors by way of our own self-congratulation.

When I read: “It’s a CLEOME!” I laughed out loud for happiness that it wasn’t marijuana that I gave to Mary. The prayer of this reader is that of Mary herself for all of us:

“May Our Lord Jesus Christ bless you and keep you in His loving arms.”

Hitler will never come to know that his monstrousness was, after all, something good. No.

  • You can have a mistaken conscience and still go straight to hell. And, on this point, there is such a thing as purposed ignorance. The hell of that ignorance is not bliss.
  • You can have all the sincerity in your own eyes you want and still go straight to hell where all the wax filling in the holes of conscience will melt and reveal the ugliness that is there. [“Sincere” means “without wax”, that is, because something (say, restored furniture) doesn’t need to fake that it’s perfect because it already is perfect, without blemish, and therefore without wax: it’s “sincere.”].
  • You can have all the self-pleasing feelings and emotions you want and still go straight to hell. Did you know that feeling and emotions are fallen with the rest of our human nature? Ever once notice that? They don’t follow reason after original sin. It’s takes only the slightest bit of humility and reality to take note of that.

Speaking of humility, which is provided to us with God’s love, is that which will enable one to avoid that kind of self-congratulation which would have us claim that we’re justified by ignorance, by an erroneous conscience. Saint Paul says that we have God’s law written in our hearts, that which is called the Natural Law, that which is written into our nature by our Creator. Example: Thou shalt not murder the innocent. We can’t claim ignorance. We know that. It’s arrogance, a lust for power over God which would have one claim that murdering the innocent is just fine and dandy in all of one’s sincerity. It doesn’t work that way.

So, this flower is once again given to the Immaculate Conception, Jesus’ good mom. She saw, with horror, all of our own self-justification, our ignoring of her Son even while He redeemed us on the Cross, tortured to death, taking our place, the Innocent for the guilty. “It’s better that one man die than that a whole nation perish” shouted the High Priest Caiaphas. And so did we all. And Mary saw it all…. A flower for you, Mary. Thank you for being in solidarity with your Son right to the end. Thank you for being a mother to us in your solidarity with your Son’s purpose of justifiying us with His love, His forgiveness, His goodness and kindness, His Truth.

FSSPX Nazis and Paul Touvier: neo-Nazi hunters get a photographic hint

auschwitz

The FSSPX will not praise this post. I know. I know. They will say that Paul Touvier was just a simple, innocent, poor, homeless man to whom they provided shelter in all Christian charity, nice guys that they are. First of all, they will surely mock me because I suppose I’m what they call a Novus Ordo “priest.” So, let me establish some street cred with all that which is Traditional. Maybe that will help some to listen to reason.

Street Cred?

Immediately after 7/7/7, when I was a “permanent chaplain” in Lourdes for a couple of years, already in August of 2007, before the official “start date” of Summorum Pontificum, I was able to reintroduce the Traditional “Tridentine” or “Gregorian” or popularly called “Old Latin” Mass – becoming the “Latin Mass Chaplain” as they called it, an office which has remained even after my two year request to be chaplain came to an end (so that I could go back to teaching in seminaries, which I did). The FSSP took over. Great! Here’s a picture of my replacement and a younger version of myself.

lourdes traditional mass chaplains

August 15 2008 was the high point, a Solemn High Mass in the Pius X Basilica with more than 7,000 people assisting. The deacon and subdeacon are both priests in the FSSP, NOT to be mistaken for the FSSPX:

Mass Lourdes Pius X Basilica

I would also assist others with the Traditional Mass. Below is soon-to-be Raymond Cardinal Burke in the Upper Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.

cardinal burke lourdes

As I’ve said elsewhere, I think I could count on one hand those who have suffered more for the promotion of the Traditional Mass as desired by then Pope Benedict XVI. My interest in bringing all that is traditional back to Lourdes had devastating consequences for me.

The only comment I saw from the ultra-tradition-al-ism-ists for all this was that, of all things, I was to be condemned because my French accent wasn’t what the French would like to hear. Really? Really? See: Chaque fois que j’ouvre ma bouche il est demandé «Est-ce que vous êtes Belge?»

lourdes

Father Byers is a Jew and therefore has no credibility?

The other thing that the FSSPX will dismiss me outright for is that my mom is a Jewess as was her mom and grandma. Who know’s what happened with any relatives in Treblinka. Would the FSSPX put Jesus the Jew and the Immaculate Conception, a Jewess, in the ovens, or gas them, or put bullets in their heads? Jesus asked Saul: “Why are you persecuting ME?”

FSSPX Nazis?

The video above is… is… eye opening.

So… naive, stupid, whatever negative you want to say, that was me at that time, really until quite recently, like just the other day when I was disabused of my idiocy. I saw something – that video above – that shocked me to the core. I didn’t know this. It’s been in the news forever. I guess I just don’t pay attention. All I had heard during those years until now about Nazis in France came through the filter of the rationalizations that the ultra-tradition-al-ism-ists in France had all lined up in support of the Régime de Vichy as headed up by Maréchal Henri Philippe Benoni Omer Joseph Pétain.

lourdes market and

[Now, why would I include that picture just above? The Vichy-ites know, don’t they? I mean, I don’t know. I haven’t been in Lourdes for ten years. I know nothing.]

But now I hear the rest of the story. The FSSPX had been immersed in protection of Paul Touvier while he was on the run from the courts, from justice. In the end, despite their efforts, Paul Touvier was found with the FSSPX, was brought to trial, and was convicted of many crimes against humanity, helping the Nazis to accomplish the “Final Solution” of killing all Jews everywhere. He was unrepentant to the end, and lived as a monstrous full-on Nazi and his entire family with him.

And to think I wanted to help the FSSPX out in being regularized with Rome back in the day. Bloody hell. I simply didn’t know. After my stint in Lourdes, one of the greatest philosophers gaining fame in France at that time wanted to offer me a full month or two or three of bringing me, at his expense, all around France, to all the monasteries, which, I’m quite sure, would have included the building owned by the FSSPX, including where Paul Touvier had been housed before he was finally arrested. I should have said yes. I wouldn’t have continued in my naive ignorance until now. I’m sure I would have heard all the stories.

Instead of these FSSPX guys being arrested for aiding unrepentant criminals, what did they do? As it is said: A Tridentine Requiem Mass was offered for the repose of Paul Touvier’s soul by Father Philippe Laguérie at St Nicolas du Chardonnet, the Society of St. Pius X chapel, in Paris. I have nothing against prayers for anyone, but I have to wonder if this was accompanied by a statement of the FSSPX condemning themselves for protecting an unrepentant genocidal racist and ultra-violent death monger from going to trial. I wonder if the FSSPX recommended at that Requiem that some of their own members should be tried for conspiracy, for aiding and abetting.

I would like the names of anyone still alive who aided and abetted Paul Touvier in the FSSPX. I want the names of the priests. I want to see them tried in a public trial by the Holy See, and, if found guilty, I would  like to see them dismissed from the clerical state. And then I’d like to see them go before criminal courts, however old, however sick.

A reader might be tempted to remind me that I am a Missionary of Mercy and shouldn’t be such a hypocrite, that I should extend mercy to such people, and that I only do this because, although being a Catholic priest, I am also Jewish on mom’s side. Instead, here’s the truth about mercy: it is founded on justice. Forgive them in sacramental confession? Sure. But that doesn’t preempt the tribunals from carrying out earthly justice.

Here’s the deal: If you just “let it go,” what happens is that the message is sent that no one cares about murder, no one cares about genocide, that killing at will is just fine and dandy. Just “letting it go” invites the disgusting, filthy, neo-Nazis to do it all over again.

So, I want names.

Anyone?

Crickets…

Yep.

You can drop comments with names and proofs. Don’t worry, I won’t let them through moderation.

And if you’re tempted to just send me a link to the WayBackMachine which has an archived copy of the Angelus commentary, don’t bother. I’ll put it here as illustrative of what I have said above.

Arrest in Priory Reopens Debate on Catholic Aid to Nazis

(RNS) — The arrest of a pro-Nazi French militia leader in a priory operated by followers of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre has touched off new debate about the role of Roman Catholic clergy in protecting war criminals.

Paul Touvier, 74, was head of intelligence for a pro-Nazi militia in Lyons during World War II. He was arrested when France was liberated in 1944, but he escaped. He was convicted in absentia and sentenced to death for war crimes in Lyons in 1945 and in Chambery in 1947 but managed to hide out until those sentences expired in 1967.

French President Georges Pompidou pardoned Mr. Touvier in November, 1971, but the public outcry was so great that the alleged war criminal again dropped out of sight. He was formally charged in 1973 with crimes against humanity, an offense to which the statute of limitations does not apply in France. The search for Mr. Touvier began again, and he was arrested May 24th at the St. Francis Priory in Nice.

Charges of Catholic collaboration to protect Mr. Touvier were aired at the time of his presidential pardon in 1971. Several prominent French people, including Christian existentialist philosopher Gabriel Marcel, had signed petitions for Mr. Touvier’s pardon as a result of a nearly 20-year campaign coordinated by Monsignor Charles Duquaire of Lyons.

Pierre Merindol, a journalist who has specialized in the history of the Lyons Resistance, has alleged that Cardinal Pierre-Marie Gerlier, the wartime archbishop of Lyons, may have been involved in hiding Mr. Touvier. According to the journalist, the cardinal helped to shelter Mr. Touvier in fulfillment of a promise to aid anyone who helped to prevent the shooting of 42 French hostages by Nazi soldiers who wanted to retaliate against a Resistance attack.

Today’s hierarchy has claimed no involvement with Mr. Touvier or with the priory where he was being sheltered. Cardinal Albert Decourtray of Lyons said the matter “is not within my purview but within that of my country’s judicial system, in which I have confidence.”

Comment: [[ Their comment ]] Despite the fact that most newspapers made a link between Mr. Touvier and the Society, there was in fact no connection. It is true he was taken prisoner at our priory, but he was merely let in by the prior as an act of charity to a homeless man. Since Archbishop Lefebvre’s father died at the hands of the Nazis in a prison camp, that should be evidence enough that the Society does not and has not ever condoned the practices of the Nazis.

On the other side of the question, I for one am tired of this Jewish conspiracy to wipe every living former Nazi off the face of the earth. Why don’t they just leave them to die in peace? It’s been about 45 years since World War II and still they hunt them down, as if they were guilty of ongoing crimes for all those years.

=============

As I say, it’s that kind of dismissive attitude that invites more violent genocide: “All those millions of Jews? Who gives a crap? Let’s do it again!”

No, no. These monsters should be brought to trial wherever we find them, even if they’re with the FSSPX.

I have no doubt that ultra-tradition-al-ism-ists everywhere will be scornful and mocking, but, truth be told, I’d like to put their faces in the corpses of all the millions and millions and millions who were exterminated, you know, one by one. I’d like to see if they survive in their haughtiness that proclaims… you know… that since it’s been a while, it’s all good.

Let me tell you, hell is for eternity, and not a moment of it is good, ever, not even after  a while.

Moreover: “Salvation is from the Jews” – Jesus

Moreover: Jesus, Divine Son of the Immaculate Conception, will come to judge the living and the dead and the world by fire. Amen.
