Make sure to visit a cemetery today to remember those who gave all

The dates say it all. The land of the free because of the brave. This boy was just 16 years old.

Reagan said it best, this time on Veterans Day, Armistice Day, about the boys who, in death, handed this country on to us, who live (around 3’15” for just a minute) but the whole speech is a gem:

Patriotism is a virtue of the natural law and is blessed by God.

Dad was a veteran. He died many decades ago. I’m sure you knew a veteran sometime in your life. Perhaps you have a favorite memory.

My favorite memory of dad was back in 1962, when I was just 2 1/2 years old. I’d walk up in the Communion line next to him with the rest of the family behind us. This was at the great Saint Mary’s Cathedral with its gorgeous altar rail with the linens flipped over the top. I was always impressed by the linens getting flipped over the top, just as I was with kneeling there beside my dad, reaching up as high as I could to put my hands under the linens like he was doing. I was pretty small. I was filled with such wonder and awe and reverence as the priest and altar boy with paten would make it over to us. They would start on the Epistle side. We were always on the Gospel side. Everything worked together to instill reverence.

It was good be on my knees with dad before the Lord Jesus. Very good. Here we have a warrior on his knees, in reverence, before The Warrior, Jesus, in the epic battle of good over evil, God over Satan. And dad is with Jesus. I love that.

Memorare: Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

I was able to offer Holy Mass today for my dad, George Byers Jr. USMC

Reagan tells Soviet jokes

All cute, right? I think people don’t understand what he’s doing here. We might just chuckle, think it’s a bit of comedy, breaking the ice of the cold-war, clever statesmanship with basic humanity. But there’s more than this.

The top Russian leadership is actually Communist. These are not atheists we are dealing with here, but rather those who actively hate God, hate neighbor, hate themselves, and simply want to gain more narcissistic power that is cut off from justice, cut off from service, cut off from showing any mercy. It’s raw power, which is entirely constituted by hate, and is diabolical. That’s Fulton Sheen’s take: it’s hatred.

What Reagan was doing here is to be so entirely cute that there was no response that could be made, but he was humiliating them to the core of their rotten souls, their blackened hearts. Good. That’s the way to do it, to make them question whatever in hell it is that they are doing. That’s what Jesus did with the haters of His day.

Today, Biden wants the Green New Deal, the Great Reset: less people, more green, the “power” of murdering helpless people. The thing is, American youth have been trained in to think that this kind of cowardly entitlement to murder is virtuous.

Biden looks “tough”, like a war-time president, that will gain him votes, I guess. It always does. Putin is giving him this opportunity. For Biden’s minions to do better in the mid-terms is better for Putin than to for Russia to gain Ukraine once again. Then, after that happens, the next day after Super-Tuesday, Putin will just take Ukraine. That was my surmising the second this intention of Putin was announced quite a while back. Things change daily, but it pretty much answers the most questions, most consistently, the most simply, you know, why it’s so messy. It’s maybe the way this started, but who knows how it will finish. War is hell. Hell is hell.

Meanwhile, Confession. Meanwhile, the Rosary. And it’s good to laugh along with Regan. Just know there’s a deadly serious side to it.

Door to door vaccines? The Green-Shirts are coming. Pfft.

Those wielding misinformation materials and very possibly syringes ready to be drawn look so very professional, you know, just like the druggies in my neighborhood. Look at the scrupulous mask wearing, you know, because this is actually about Covid…. not.

For myself, I’m of the mind of Reagan on this:

Of course, the very next step is forced vaccinations. And I bet the guy they send out will be this guy:

Um…. Um…. I’m likely not going to comply! :-)

I mean, all I would have say with all courtesy and politeness and soft-spoken-ness is “Um… No…” and the dippy compliance officer would run away, execrating his fear, hopefully out on the street.

Here’s LifeSiteNews’ Resource Page on the Covid-19 Vaccines:

UPDATE: Well, well… Now we have the “Green-Shirts” for the door to door intimidation:

The one girl still doesn’t have an issued mask, even for the photo-op. How very haphazard is this entire administration. The guy on the left doesn’t even have a vest, just a green Izod shirt. His I.D. is surely not law-enforcement.

Not intimidating, at least not to me. I won’t be getting any vaccination.
