American Flag quiz: What year do we have here?

While out on Communion calls this past Sunday afternoon, I saw this American Flag… wait… wait… that’s strange! I haven’t seen this for a long, long time. Can you guess what this is all about?

While you’re thinking, let’s listen to old Johnny tell us a story about the Ragged Old Flag. Take note of the introductory bits:

Some people object about that introduction, and to the cheers of the crowd that it brings. He says this:

  • “We’ve also got a right to bear arms and if you burn my flag, I’ll shoot you, but I’ll shoot you with a lot of love like a good American.”

People think that statement refers to brats burning this or that flag. No. He expressly says that he respects the right of whoever to burn whatever flag.

The flag Johnny is speaking about – his flag – is… is… wait for it… his flag is these United States of America in their entirety, one nation, under God. Don’t believe me? Listen to the rest of the story.

This is patriotism. Patriotism is a virtue of piety. It’s a virtue of natural law. It’s a virtue described by the great Saint Thomas Aquinas.

And there we have it once again: what is held up by reason and what is lived in the faith are consonant with each other. Of course, both faith and reason come from God Almighty.

Back to the quiz. Can you guess what in the world is going on with that American Flag pictured at the top of this post?

Flowers for the Immaculate Conception (Blessing guns after Mass, edition)

wp-15922276884697683961616675667061.jpg

Metadata on that picture is Sun, Jun 14, 2020 – 12:42 PM. That’s after Sunday Mass at Holy Redeemer Catholic church here in Andrews, N.C. This is just outside, next to the Guadalupe Shine, just before the blessing of the guns. Lilies always remind me instantly of Jesus’ good mom, the Immaculate Conception, because they are a reflection of the Star of David. She’s Jewish, by the way. So is Jesus, who said, “Salvation is of the Jews.” :-)

In the announcements after Mass I told everyone that because of a request by a husband and wife (who both carry!), I would be blessing any stop-the-threat tools anyone happened to have with them. I said that the blessing to be used, quite ancient, would be in Latin. I instructed that it had surely been used throughout the centuries by an untold number of military and law enforcement chaplains right around the world.

This isn’t a divine mandate to commit wrongful actions. No.

  • On the one hand, this is about encouraging the rightful engagement of the right to defend the innocent with the least amount of force needed to remove the threat to life and limb that is coming anyone’s way.
  • On the other hand, this is also about asking the good Lord for his protection of the victims and defenders.

As a famous general said: men may shoot bullets, but the Lord decides where they hit.

I am reminded of Saint John Paul II’s insistence that Ali Agca’s bullet was guided by the hand of Jesus’ good mom, and under a specific title – Our Lady of Fatima – so that the bullet just missed arteries and vital organs in such manner that he could be stitched back together and then, eventually, have to health to go to the prison of Agca and offer him forgiveness.

  • On the one hand, I was heartily thanked by many parishioners who presented themselves for the blessing of the stop-the-threat tools.
  • On the other hand, I was severely reprimanded by an elderly lady (perhaps in her 90s), who said that what I was doing with proceeding with such a blessing just now was totally unfair. She said that she was so very disappointed that I didn’t warn them all first, say, last weekend, so that they could make sure to bring all their own guns to get them blessed! Ha ha ha! I love it. I told her that we would be having a much more organized event in the future.

I’m thinking we’ll have to have plenty of law enforcement protection for this, wherever we hold this event (perhaps in honor of Saint Gabriel Possenti, patron saint of gunslingers), which will have to be thought out well. No chambered guns, no magazines in the guns. It’s not the people presenting their weapons that are a threat. No, no. The threat would be from the thugs and buffoons who think that they could therefore just walk in – not to get their weapons blessed – but to steal all the weapons of everyone else like taking candy from a baby.

And I’m guessing law enforcement of all kinds would also like their weapons blessed as many of them were likely to have participated in such blessings already, say, in a previous life in the military, asking by way of that blessing that such armaments only be used with justice and mercy, and that they themselves also have the good protection of our Lord Jesus as they carry out their duties. But that might have to be done on another date, at another location, at an unadvertised time. It is what it is.

Back to Jesus’ good mom. Her “magnificat” recounted in the Gospel of Luke, 1, is gleaned from the Song of Hannah in 1 Samuel 2. Here’s a snippet from the latter (sound familiar?):

  • The bows of the mighty are broken, while the tottering gird on strength.
  • The well-fed hire themselves out for bread, while the hungry batten on spoil.
  • The barren wife bears seven sons, while the mother of many languishes.
  • The LORD puts to death and gives life
  • He casts down to the nether world; He raises up again.
  • The LORD makes poor and makes rich
  • He humbles, He also exalts.

It was little baby-still-inside-the-womb, Saint John the Baptist, who leaped in the womb of Saint Elizabeth his mother upon Mary’s greeting and Magnificat. Saint John, the greatest prophet of all time, gave advice to the occupying soldiers of his time, not condemning them, but encouraging them as soldiers (see Luke 3:14).

So, a flower for you, Mary, Mother of Divine Jesus, and relative of Saint John the Baptist. In fact, here are more flowers which I’ve been gathering in Coronavirus times for the Immaculate Conception:

Second Amendment vs COEXIST?!

wp-15823251312373823743798595240774.jpg

I had some business to take care of at the now internationally famous Cherokee Guns in favor of the coexistence of my ballistic vest and a compatible holster.

It’s the provocative advertising that Cherokee Guns often indulges in that has caught the attention of the MSM worldwide. Their input at the top of the picture above is rather low-key, but it was already enough for anonymous socialists in the area to offer a response with the quotation from socialist Helen Keller.

(1) Note the hypocritical statement of these socialists. In fine print at the top of their presentation they have this to say:

“PAID FOR BY CONCERNED CITIZENS OF MURPHY”

“Citizens…” Why are they so anti-undocumented immigrants?

(2) Also, notice their use and abuse of Helen Keller, implying that she was all about smashing down all religions and points of view with homosexualist violent bullying, with “tolerance” meaning equal opportunity destruction of all truth and morality. Um… No… That’s not what Helen Keller was all about. As they scream “tolerance” they become so broadminded that they become flatheaded. I think it was the Venerable Fulton J Sheen who said something like that. There is good tolerance in the respect of people, but that doesn’t extend to any necessity of saying that error must be affirmed by those who are truthful. Also, and to the point, tolerance is NOT about letting violence take your life. Tolerance and defense of the innocent compliment each other.

(3) Now, it might seem that I’m being rather aggressive in my rhetoric, enough so that a dialogue becomes difficult. I mean, calling people names such as “hypocrite” and “flatheaded” is no way to be inviting and consensus building. But, here’s the deal: these “concerned citizens” have unilaterally redefined my religious Judeo-Christian existence through their all INtolerant lens of homosexualism, hijacking the rainbow as they do. I think that their aggressive hypocrisy should and must be pointed out to them.

Piotr Młodożeniec, the guy who came up with spelling COEXIST with symbols, might well have a copyright not only on his own twenty year old artwork but on all would-be derived works. So instead of writing COEXIST, there’s just a jumble of symbols.

Anyway, the response of Cherokee Guns, less wordy than myself, was simply to write out – correctly I might add – the word “COEXIST” with their own symbols that are not insulting of religion and offer all people regardless of religion or not the God-given inalienable right of self-defense against the aggressive fascist intolerant violence of the socialist leftists. The possibility of self-defense does lead to coexistence. Of course, there is more to it than all that. We are to love our enemies, right? Yes. And in not letting them hurt themselves more by such inhuman intolerance is also to love them.

By the way, this post is also categorized as “Deescalation.”

Why is that, you ask?

Because truth is deescalation.

2020 Census LGBTQ Latinx gerrymandering to sway 2020 election

Those are a couple of screen shots from my phone. Here’s part of a text of an email:

“Dear Father George- The 2020 Census North Carolina Partnership Specialists leading our Latinx and Hispanic population initiative are conducting a conference: Fostering Latino Census 2020 Engagement through Community Partnerships.

I asked Latinos in my parish what “Latinx” means. They had no idea. I looked it up. Apparently, the grammatical “o” / “a” at the end of some Spanish vocabulary is too offensive to tender snowflakes gender-bender political power bullies such that an “x” replaces the “o” (“masculine”) or “a” (“feminine”). Just “x”.

So, did you get that? The Census Bureau for the 2020 Census has been and is and will promote a “Latino Census”, but the ideological push behind this is all about drumming up representation of the LGBTQ to the end of not only reapportioning government programs but also for the realignment of political districts. Gerrymandering LGBTQ power groups are now more empowered by the Census Bureau.

Being a rather conservative and outspoken “community leader trusted by the Latino community,” as I was personally told – face to face – by the delegated representative of the U.S. Census Bureau in Washington Heights, Maryland, a stone’s throw from Washington, D.C., that my participation in the 2020 census was vitally important.

It was said that I was the very first contacted in the entire region (centered in Atlanta) to help the Census Bureau get 100% compliance up here in Western North Carolina.

I’m expected to find regional Census workers for employment and promote just how acceptable and wonderful the Census is for everyone.

However, whenever I have a question about something – and I have plenty about the manipulation of Census data – I play the situation until further information is to be had, such as this Latinx thing.

The Rep payed me a second face to face visit. I baited this Rep with an out-of-the-blue question, asking if part of the toolbox for Census work was gaming theory (you know, the ultra genius theory of economics between competing nations). This instantly made the Rep furious and I was informed forthwith that the Rep knew everything there is to know about gaming theory. I think the smile given with such gritting teeth on the Rep’s part while stating doctoral accomplishments must have broken the Rep’s entire mouthful of teeth. So pleasant! So nice! Creepy.

Accuse me of being bad and evil. My baiting is what it is. And now I know enough not to get involved with what seems to be a manipulation of the political system of these very United States of America.

And if you think I’m insulting LGBTQ Latinx people, think again. Why is it thought that LGBTQ and Latinx must be members of the Democrat Party? Isn’t that a bit prejudicial? Isn’t that a bit racist? Are there no independent thinkers among LGBTQ Latinx “communities.” Are they all robots? Are they all controlled by white elitist big money? Are the democrats historically the worst of the worst when in comes to racism. Yes, they are. Look it up. It’s horrific.

I had also asked specifically about the gerrymandering efforts and I was merely told that this was a talking point. Period. No talking, just a stating of the fact that it is a talking point. No answer. Because there is no answer. To see the question posed well (and this is what I sent as my question), see, for instance:

Researchers question U.S. Census Bureau’s new approach to privacy

I asked about non-compliance and penalties, such as huge fines and prison time. I was told that “We don’t do that anymore.” When I pressed a bit, I was told, and this time I took this as a threat: “If someone doesn’t comply, it is against the law, and this will stand against them.” In other words, such felonies will be on your record and will work against your rights as a citizen, such as the 2nd amendment. Try and renew any concealed carry permit, or try to buy a gun in the first place and you’ll be denied. After all, you’ll probably be out of cash, and you’ll probably be in prison.
