Help a priest dumb down his Glock

  • The threaded barrel was ditched. I don’t own a suppressor, but the extra 0.5″ length was a help for me with accuracy, that is, for the extremely rare session of target practice. It looks like that 0.5″ longer barrel will no longer be legal what with proposed legislation in Congress. Just the fact of the threading would be considered to be a weapon of mass destruction.
  • The 15-round magazines were ditched for a new single-stack factory version limited to 10. I hate that, but I have three such magazines, as I always carry an extra two. That’s also because of the proposed legislation.

The ATF (=BATFE) and FBI, sycophantic to present political sway, are all about infringement, so, I just want to avoid their whirlwind. I’ve had so many boating accidents!

I’m hoping someone will tell me I’m wrong about this, but there’s one boating accident that can’t take place with my Glock 19 Gen 4. The proposed legislation this week in Congress is that if any type of gun, even pistols, can possibly be converted from semi-auto to full-auto, that gun, even if not converted, will be illegal. That means prison for any non-compliance in owning such a gun, regardless of any conversion. The problem is that pretty much all Glocks can be converted to full-auto.

There are likely between 20 and 25 million Glock owners in these USA and likely around zero percent of them do such a thing, especially with target ammo being so expensive and difficult to get these days. And that’s only Glocks. I’m sure plenty of other guns can be converted, making about half the population of these USA into criminals overnight even if they didn’t know that such a thing could be done in the first place.

But is there some “fix” that could be done that would make such a full-auto conversion impossible?

SCOTUS protects 2nd Amendment for self-defense for citizens, not just militias!

New York State Rifle & Pistol Assn., Inc. v. Bruen (20-843)

This will save lives, beginning immediately. Yay!

  • “New York’s proper-cause requirement for obtaining an unrestricted license to carry a concealed firearm violates the Fourteenth Amendment in that it prevents law-abiding citizens with ordinary self-defense needs from exercising their Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.”

There’s another issuance day tomorrow, 24 June 2022, and the possibility of two more issuance days next week. The decision on whether or not Roe v Wade is to be overturned, sending the abortion issue back to voters in the States will take place on one of those three days.

This great decision protecting the 2nd amendment is just in time for the possible mayhem after the upcoming decision on Roe v Wade. Jane’s Revenge has promised horrific violence. The FBI has confirmed evidence that the threats are legit, saying Catholic churches, Catholic bishops and Catholic priests specifically will be attacked the night of any decision that Jane’s Revenge thinks is adverse to them. DHS has said that such a threat will continue until the end of November (after weird counting of mid-term election ballots).

So, I’m proud of SCOTUS today. Yay!

This makes me nostalgic. The year I was born Dad was accredited to the Supreme Court of these United States:

Call of Duty Rittenhouse Meme: Humor and bonus, neither Vigilante nor Vigilatte®

Hahaha. What’s not funny is that the media brought about the riots in which people lost their lives. That they lost their lives is not the fault of Kyle, not in the least. They forfeited their own lives by delivering potentially deadly aggression toward Kyle. Meanwhile, Kyle had been busy putting out fires and rendering first aid. Kyle is not a vigilante. And he’s surely not a Vigilatte®:

Employment of the 2nd Amendment for defense of self and others against unprovoked and already being delivered deadly aggression is still part of this Constitutional Republic with the Rule of Law, and always remains part of Natural Law (=unalienable, God-given). Just defense is not illegal. It is a positive contribution to the virtue of justice which you never want to have to make. But if you do, it is what it is.

Kyle is the victim in all this.

Thanks for putting out fires, Kyle. Thanks for rendering first aid, Kyle. Praying for you, Kyle.

That about sums it up: contrast and compare

Language in that last one. This was number one on the charts for while. Know your culture.

Comments in the counting room after Mass yesterday included high praise for the reporter in the last video, brilliantly getting the interview on-air by supplying the words “Let’s go Brandon” even while… you know…

Sorry, but I have to laugh. And now, on account of that laughter, I’ll probably have a warrant put out on me by the Biden Admin with puppets at the DOJ as FBI as CJIS in Bridgeport WV. ;-) … … … bwahahahahahahahaha! Oops!

Oh. I should comment on the intro of Johnny Cash to Ragged ol’ Flag lest I be red-flagged. He speaks of shooting anyone who would burn his flag. What he’s talking about, truth be told, is what is narrated in about the Star Spangled Banner in that other video above. That’s about defense of self and others from unjust and already being delivered deadly aggression. It’s sad that an explanation has to be given in our tender snowflake days. Anyway… Let’s go Brandon!

NC Concealed Handgun Permit Renewal or baiting people into talking about Jesus

The call came in yesterday morning at 8:30 AM. Jumping in the car, continuing with other phone calls on the road about funerals and then about extracting friends out of Afghanistan, ever more dangerous, ever more frustrating, arrival was soon made in the Sheriff’s Office, always a super friendly bunch.

  • Why? Recreation with wild target practice, though that’s difficult at this time with the loss of my private range and the high price and scarcity of ammo. One session of practice can entail really a lot of ammo, with so many courses to run through. So, only rarely. But it’s fun when it happens.
  • Why? Self-defense, and some occasions have arisen when I’m happy to have been at the ready, but always happier when, with the whole “carry” lifestyle of situational awareness as avoidance and verbal deescalation techniques, there are no confrontations at all. This has been a real education.
  • Why? Defense of others, and some occasions have arisen when I’ve been happy to have been at the ready, particularly during one would-be carjacking incident when I was driving a crippled police officer to the hospital. Given permission to leave the scene by the first arriving officer, we counted nine cruisers from one direction, guessing that there were as many coming from the other direction. Imagine if I had let that crippled officer become a hostage to that guy. Ain’t gonna happen with this transporter. ;-)
  • Why? To support the 2nd amendment to this democratic Republic’s Constitution.
  • Why? Because all this prompts wildly wonderful conversations about Jesus all around town and far beyond.

“I AM THE MAJORITY!” 2A must watch. Plus, follow the money.

This video is three years old. The situation is worse today.

The Demoncrats want a gun registry unto gun confiscation, except for those who don’t have any I.D.

Follow the money example:

The Sinaloa Cartel has owned Chicago for decades; it’s their biggest dumping ground for drugs. It cannot but be that they provide kickbacks to the Demoncrat politicos for the favor of ongoing attacks on gun rights so that the only ones left with guns are their scouts and runners and sellers and drug and safe houses.

And why is everyone incapable of following the money? Meanwhile, the “I am the majority!” crowd, like the guy above, is stripped of defense of self and the innocent from unjust violent deadly imminent aggression, even while guns are basically being supplied to the criminals.

Made in China 2A flag? No.

“Just testing!” is what a 28-year military intel friend is surely going to exclaim to me when I roll my eyes at him next time I see him, likely tomorrow. He gave me the flag pictured above the other day – all packaged up – and then ran. Can you see any problems here?

  • The subtle reading: “A well regulated [read: infringed upon] 2nd Amendment…” … “shall not be infringed.”

“Father George, you’re exaggerating. It’s just artistic license to lay things out that way. It doesn’t mean that the Kamala Biden proclaimed infringements on the second amendment are not themselves to be infringed. That would be too clever. Come on, man…”

  • There are 14 stars on this flag. There was never even once a flag with fourteen stars. Federally accepted flags jumped in numbers of stars relatively infrequently. The first jump was from 13 to 15 stars.

“Father George, you can’t possibly be thinking that China is subtly pushing for the District of Columbia to become a full state so as to sway what happens with infringement of the 2nd Amendment are you? Come on, man… Just because Chinese Communist Party is continuously complaining that there is a grave problem in these USA until there is full-on gun confiscation doesn’t mean a thing. Do we have to do bring you out back of the gym or do a pushup contest, you dog-faced pony soldier?”

I agree. Surely this is just a mistake of someone who doesn’t know how to run a word processor banner widget thingy. I get it. But I also could never hang this insult to America anywhere. This “flag” will be burned forthwith.

I think I passed the test.

American Flag quiz: What year do we have here?

While out on Communion calls this past Sunday afternoon, I saw this American Flag… wait… wait… that’s strange! I haven’t seen this for a long, long time. Can you guess what this is all about?

While you’re thinking, let’s listen to old Johnny tell us a story about the Ragged Old Flag. Take note of the introductory bits:

Some people object about that introduction, and to the cheers of the crowd that it brings. He says this:

  • “We’ve also got a right to bear arms and if you burn my flag, I’ll shoot you, but I’ll shoot you with a lot of love like a good American.”

People think that statement refers to brats burning this or that flag. No. He expressly says that he respects the right of whoever to burn whatever flag.

The flag Johnny is speaking about – his flag – is… is… wait for it… his flag is these United States of America in their entirety, one nation, under God. Don’t believe me? Listen to the rest of the story.

This is patriotism. Patriotism is a virtue of piety. It’s a virtue of natural law. It’s a virtue described by the great Saint Thomas Aquinas.

And there we have it once again: what is held up by reason and what is lived in the faith are consonant with each other. Of course, both faith and reason come from God Almighty.

Back to the quiz. Can you guess what in the world is going on with that American Flag pictured at the top of this post?

Flowers for the Immaculate Conception (Blessing guns after Mass, edition)

wp-15922276884697683961616675667061.jpg

Metadata on that picture is Sun, Jun 14, 2020 – 12:42 PM. That’s after Sunday Mass at Holy Redeemer Catholic church here in Andrews, N.C. This is just outside, next to the Guadalupe Shine, just before the blessing of the guns. Lilies always remind me instantly of Jesus’ good mom, the Immaculate Conception, because they are a reflection of the Star of David. She’s Jewish, by the way. So is Jesus, who said, “Salvation is of the Jews.” :-)

In the announcements after Mass I told everyone that because of a request by a husband and wife (who both carry!), I would be blessing any stop-the-threat tools anyone happened to have with them. I said that the blessing to be used, quite ancient, would be in Latin. I instructed that it had surely been used throughout the centuries by an untold number of military and law enforcement chaplains right around the world.

This isn’t a divine mandate to commit wrongful actions. No.

  • On the one hand, this is about encouraging the rightful engagement of the right to defend the innocent with the least amount of force needed to remove the threat to life and limb that is coming anyone’s way.
  • On the other hand, this is also about asking the good Lord for his protection of the victims and defenders.

As a famous general said: men may shoot bullets, but the Lord decides where they hit.

I am reminded of Saint John Paul II’s insistence that Ali Agca’s bullet was guided by the hand of Jesus’ good mom, and under a specific title – Our Lady of Fatima – so that the bullet just missed arteries and vital organs in such manner that he could be stitched back together and then, eventually, have to health to go to the prison of Agca and offer him forgiveness.

  • On the one hand, I was heartily thanked by many parishioners who presented themselves for the blessing of the stop-the-threat tools.
  • On the other hand, I was severely reprimanded by an elderly lady (perhaps in her 90s), who said that what I was doing with proceeding with such a blessing just now was totally unfair. She said that she was so very disappointed that I didn’t warn them all first, say, last weekend, so that they could make sure to bring all their own guns to get them blessed! Ha ha ha! I love it. I told her that we would be having a much more organized event in the future.

I’m thinking we’ll have to have plenty of law enforcement protection for this, wherever we hold this event (perhaps in honor of Saint Gabriel Possenti, patron saint of gunslingers), which will have to be thought out well. No chambered guns, no magazines in the guns. It’s not the people presenting their weapons that are a threat. No, no. The threat would be from the thugs and buffoons who think that they could therefore just walk in – not to get their weapons blessed – but to steal all the weapons of everyone else like taking candy from a baby.

And I’m guessing law enforcement of all kinds would also like their weapons blessed as many of them were likely to have participated in such blessings already, say, in a previous life in the military, asking by way of that blessing that such armaments only be used with justice and mercy, and that they themselves also have the good protection of our Lord Jesus as they carry out their duties. But that might have to be done on another date, at another location, at an unadvertised time. It is what it is.

Back to Jesus’ good mom. Her “magnificat” recounted in the Gospel of Luke, 1, is gleaned from the Song of Hannah in 1 Samuel 2. Here’s a snippet from the latter (sound familiar?):

  • The bows of the mighty are broken, while the tottering gird on strength.
  • The well-fed hire themselves out for bread, while the hungry batten on spoil.
  • The barren wife bears seven sons, while the mother of many languishes.
  • The LORD puts to death and gives life
  • He casts down to the nether world; He raises up again.
  • The LORD makes poor and makes rich
  • He humbles, He also exalts.

It was little baby-still-inside-the-womb, Saint John the Baptist, who leaped in the womb of Saint Elizabeth his mother upon Mary’s greeting and Magnificat. Saint John, the greatest prophet of all time, gave advice to the occupying soldiers of his time, not condemning them, but encouraging them as soldiers (see Luke 3:14).

So, a flower for you, Mary, Mother of Divine Jesus, and relative of Saint John the Baptist. In fact, here are more flowers which I’ve been gathering in Coronavirus times for the Immaculate Conception:

Second Amendment vs COEXIST?!

wp-15823251312373823743798595240774.jpg

I had some business to take care of at the now internationally famous Cherokee Guns in favor of the coexistence of my ballistic vest and a compatible holster.

It’s the provocative advertising that Cherokee Guns often indulges in that has caught the attention of the MSM worldwide. Their input at the top of the picture above is rather low-key, but it was already enough for anonymous socialists in the area to offer a response with the quotation from socialist Helen Keller.

(1) Note the hypocritical statement of these socialists. In fine print at the top of their presentation they have this to say:

“PAID FOR BY CONCERNED CITIZENS OF MURPHY”

“Citizens…” Why are they so anti-undocumented immigrants?

(2) Also, notice their use and abuse of Helen Keller, implying that she was all about smashing down all religions and points of view with homosexualist violent bullying, with “tolerance” meaning equal opportunity destruction of all truth and morality. Um… No… That’s not what Helen Keller was all about. As they scream “tolerance” they become so broadminded that they become flatheaded. I think it was the Venerable Fulton J Sheen who said something like that. There is good tolerance in the respect of people, but that doesn’t extend to any necessity of saying that error must be affirmed by those who are truthful. Also, and to the point, tolerance is NOT about letting violence take your life. Tolerance and defense of the innocent compliment each other.

(3) Now, it might seem that I’m being rather aggressive in my rhetoric, enough so that a dialogue becomes difficult. I mean, calling people names such as “hypocrite” and “flatheaded” is no way to be inviting and consensus building. But, here’s the deal: these “concerned citizens” have unilaterally redefined my religious Judeo-Christian existence through their all INtolerant lens of homosexualism, hijacking the rainbow as they do. I think that their aggressive hypocrisy should and must be pointed out to them.

Piotr Młodożeniec, the guy who came up with spelling COEXIST with symbols, might well have a copyright not only on his own twenty year old artwork but on all would-be derived works. So instead of writing COEXIST, there’s just a jumble of symbols.

Anyway, the response of Cherokee Guns, less wordy than myself, was simply to write out – correctly I might add – the word “COEXIST” with their own symbols that are not insulting of religion and offer all people regardless of religion or not the God-given inalienable right of self-defense against the aggressive fascist intolerant violence of the socialist leftists. The possibility of self-defense does lead to coexistence. Of course, there is more to it than all that. We are to love our enemies, right? Yes. And in not letting them hurt themselves more by such inhuman intolerance is also to love them.

By the way, this post is also categorized as “Deescalation.”

Why is that, you ask?

Because truth is deescalation.
