Just hatched out, this fellow was at my back door, dug up and dumped there by Shadow-dog, just a ball of mud.
I read up on taking care of pet snapping turtles. Waaaaaaaaaaay too difficult.
So, he’s back on the creek-bank, awaiting to become turtle soup perhaps in the not too distant future.
Anyone got a good recipe that’s totally thorough, going through the catching (dangerous!) and cleaning process (not easy at all), and then prep and process, written for non-chefs, newbies, who know nothing, like me?
