Blah Blah Synod™ 2023 goes all to hell

Shadrach Meshach Lockridge (March 7, 1913 – April 4, 2000) was the Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, a prominent African-American congregation in San Diego. He does infinitely better than does the entire Synod on Synodality put together when it comes to expressing the faith. You know why? Because he believes in Christ Jesus our God.

But the blah-blah-ing 2023 Synod on Synodality wasn’t about faith. It was about making fallen human beings the judges and arbiters of truth unto there being no truth, only walking together to hell, as predicted. Just dust in the wind in eternity.

The more its summary document claimed triumph in not (yet) changing doctrine (with a promise of 2024 and beyond), the more the wolves in sheep’s clothing pulled the wool over the eyes of the Lord’s Little Flock by getting them to accept the fact of the Synodol ways of truth by democracy instead of the worshiping of the Living Truth, the Word of the Father Incarnate, to whom the HOLY Spirit would have us listen.

It is the demonic, hellion recipe for total despair:

  • “Forget God! We’re THE SPIRIT! No, really! FORGET GOD! We’re THE SPIRIT! We will blah-blah while the world and, if we can do it, also the Church goes to hell. We think that we are just self-absorbed enough and Promethean enough to draw everyone into our black hole. Don’t follow Jesus! Look at us! Be envious of our small groups in circles staring at each other! Follow us! Look at us!

What a bunch of clowns. Just in time for the worst of Halloween.

Lemme repeat: the victory of the hellions this time around is the fact of them pretending to irremediably establish Hegelian dialectic as the replacement of the Living Word of God Incarnate.

As with demonic Covid closing of churches and forbidding of Sacraments, just so with The Blah Blah Synod™: the Hegelian dialectic is already all just dust in the wind, in eternity.

BTW, as reflected in the vote tallies for each paragraph of the summary document, doesn’t the fact that there wasn’t consensus on even one point prove that there is no walking together, ever, on anything, by way of our fallen human nature?

We either accept Jesus as Lord and Savior and are brought into unity in Him in heaven, or walk as a disjointed herd to hell.

Jesus continues to be my King. He’s the King of kings, and the Divine Son of the Immaculate Conception.

Amen. To hearts broken, He is near. For He hears the cry of the poor.
