Flowers for the Immaculate Conception (NOT meant to be picked, edition)

The above can be seen at the moment from the lower parking lot of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church here in Andrews, NC. It’s so delicate, so beautiful, perfect to give to the Immaculate Conception, right? Wrong. I think Jesus’ good mom, like any good mom in the world ever, would instantly reprimand and tell me to get that thing out of the house: OUT! However nice it is, it is sticky, really sticky, dripping glue all over everything, attracting dirt and bugs now dead because of being caught in its nightmare of fake niceness.

But that’s exactly why I would like to at least give a picture of this flower to the Immaculate Conception. All she met with her whole life on this earth (in solidarity with Christ Jesus, her Divine Son) was fake niceness. She deserves the beauty, but not the nastiness, not in the house. So, just this internet page. Electronic. For you, Mary. :-)
