The Blah Blah Synod™ Instrumentum laboris is the description of hell. Ain’t my church.

1:00:45 in the video above, Cardinal Hollerich, head of the Synod, presenting the Instrumentum laboris, the working document, says that Pope Francis has seen and approved it. Then Hollerich says:

  • “We do not speak about the Church’s teaching. That is not our task and not our mission. We just speak to welcome everybody who wants to walk with us. That is something different.”

Really? Really? You make proselytes of the whole world so as to insist that no one speaks of truth, ever? If we are not about the Church’s teaching, if we are not about Jesus, who is living, unmanipulatable, eternal, absolute Truth, why is it that anyone would want to simply walk with us? That’s so narcissistic. JMNSHO.

Let’s see how Saint Peter and Saint John respond to being forbidden to speak truth:

Acts 4:1 The priests and the captain of the temple guard and the Sadducees came up to Peter and John while they were speaking to the people. 2 They were greatly disturbed because the apostles were teaching the people, proclaiming in Jesus the resurrection of the dead. 3 They seized Peter and John and, because it was evening, they put them in jail until the next day. 4 But many who heard the message believed; so the number of men who believed grew to about five thousand.

5 The next day the rulers, the elders and the teachers of the law met in Jerusalem. 6 Annas the high priest was there, and so were Caiaphas, John, Alexander and others of the high priest’s family. 7 They had Peter and John brought before them and began to question them: “By what power or what name did you do this?”

8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: “Rulers and elders of the people! 9 If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a man who was lame and are being asked how he was healed, 10 then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. 11 Jesus is “‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’

12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

13 When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled, ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus. 14 But since they could see the man who had been healed standing there with them, there was nothing they could say. 15 So they ordered them to withdraw from the Sanhedrin and then conferred together. 16 “What are we going to do with these men?” they asked. “Everyone living in Jerusalem knows they have performed a notable sign, and we cannot deny it. 17 But to stop this thing from spreading any further among the people, we must warn them to speak no longer to anyone in this name.”

18 Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus. 19 But Peter and John replied, “Which is right in God’s eyes: to listen to you, or to him? You be the judges! 20 As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.”

21 After further threats they let them go. They could not decide how to punish them, because all the people were praising God for what had happened. 22 For the man who was miraculously healed was over forty years old.

It’s good to mock blah blah blah:

If we want to listen to Jesus, are we damned?

If we want the Traditional Latin Mass, are we damned?

Every time they open their mouths it becomes another “WOW” moment! We are sadly in need of reform from these liberals who think they can change the Word! (From the Pope on down)

    That’s crazy!

Continue to speaks boldly, Father. The weak, like myself, need Jesus proclaimed with a true witness among so many novel distractions about “feeling.”

These are indeed the times that try men’s souls. Put on blinders. Cut out the distractions of the blah, blah, blah and follow the Good Lord and His Immaculate Mom

I was baptised into the Catholic Church, not this new thing called in the Instrumentum Laboris (IL) a “synodal Church”.
I have not read every word of the IL but certain things jumped out when I scanned it. For one thing, at B 3.2 f) it speaks of “Adopting decision-making processes that make stable use of community discernment”. Isn’t that a Protestant idea? The idea that we do not need the teaching authority of the Catholic Church (the Magisterium) as it has been handed down but a democratised version wherein it is proclaimed that we, the people, by virtue of our baptism, are directly inspired by the Holy Spirit to guide the Church in its beliefs and actions. Cardinal Hollerich and his fellow conspirators in this Church of synodal invention would do well to remember that Lenin and Stalin were baptised. Was the Holy Spirit speaking through them when they had millions killed? No, of course not. Man has free will and there are spirits other than the Holy Spirit who seek to guide us.
The IL goes on to say that this synodal Church “requires a conversion that is personal, communal, cultural and institutional, as well as an investment in formation.” Conversion from the Catholic Church to a counterfeit Church? No thank you!
Isn’t it interesting. Pope Francis says the Church must not proselytise (convert people to the Catholic religion, becoming members of the Church established by Jesus Christ) yet he approves the IL which calls for the Church to convert to the world (to join with those of other religions and none); in other words (Hollerich’s) “to welcome everybody who wants to walk with us”, and he goes on to say “That is something different (to Church teaching).” Yes, Your Eminence, that is indeed something different and you can keep it! You may not want to talk about the Church’s traditional teachings but that does not change the fact that one must reject sin in order to belong to Christ, and the whole world needs that teaching rather than a big tent all-inclusive false Church with a false Christ.
A little over 200 years ago, Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich foresaw a counterfeit Church being built and identified it with a return to paganism. Pachamama feted in St Peter’s in October 2019 comes instantly to mind.
It seems that Emmerich contrasted the rein of Pope Boniface IV (7th century) with that of the Pope of the counterfeit Church of the future (Pope Francis?). Pope Boniface IV had the idols of false gods removed from the Pantheon and turned it into a basilica (St Mary and Martyrs) for the worship of the one true God, whereas the Pope of the counterfeit Church allows “the only true God, the only true religion to be lost among so many false gods and false religions.”
Thankfully, the true Church rebounds after much suffering. “I saw the Blessed Virgin extending her mantle over it (the true Church) and “I saw no longer the reigning Pope, but one of his successors, a mild, but very resolute man who knew how to attach his priests to himself and who drove far from him the bad. I saw all things renewed and a church which reached from earth to Heaven.”

As Gina Nakagawa points out in a comment above, “These are indeed the times that try men’s souls.”
