Thanks to the ethical hacker hacking this blog!

So, quite a while back hits to this blog as recorded by a simple stat program running in the background reported “long” URLs visited, that is, the URL composed by the name of the post itself.

Then, overnight, all that changed. Almost exclusively, 99.99% of the time only the URL of the blog site itself was reported, but not any longer URL of any blog post visited.

Almost instantly, a good two thirds of visits disappeared, and that number rapidly kept diminishing down to about zero.

Then the bytedancing of bytespider, from China. So, it was the end of the blog.

But recently, on June 17, 2023, I requested the help of any ethical hacker out there who might be able to help me out by hacking the firewall of the blog and removing any blocking of IP addresses, etc.

It seems that an ethical hacker had pity on me, recognizing that I know nothing of the hacking world. With that intervention, visits to the blog from all and sundry were being reported, and this time with full URLs, that is, to blog posts visited (which is very helpful).

Thank you, dearest ethical hacker. I am most grateful. Prayers for you.

Just to put this in perspective, the firewall of this blog is that of WordPress, which runs a singular firewall for all of its billions of blogs. Do you not think that they have the most unhackable firewall in the universe? And this ethical hacker walked right in. Awesome. And I am humbled, as in flabbergasted-humbled, dumb-founded humbled, jaw-dropped humbled. Thank you, ethical hacker.
