Fiducia supplicans is itself a sin which cries to heaven for vengeance

As noted by the Catechism of the Catholic Church §1867, “the catechetical tradition also recalls that there are ‘sins that cry to heaven’: […] the sin of the sodomy […].”

  • Genesis 18:20-21 – “Then the Lord said, “The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous that I will go down and see if what they have done is as bad as the outcry that has reached me. If not, I will know.”
  • Genesis 19:4-5 – “All the men from every part of the city of Sodom – both young and old – surrounded the house. They called to Lot, ‘Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.'”
  • Genesis 19:12-13 “The two men [angels] said to Lot, […] ‘We are going to destroy this place. The outcry to the Lord against its people is so great that he has sent us to destroy it.'”

But that’s nothing compared to the vengeance for teaching others – “both young and old” – to sin. Such a great sin must carry with it much greater vengeance, say, all the punishment put together for all the sin committed because of such scandal.

And if I call Tucho “The Mouth” Cardinal Fernández, as well as the Most Holy Father Pope Francis, a “brood of vipers” for signing and publishing Fiducia supplicans to the scandal of the entire world and the entire Church, it being used as a catalyst for the great apostasy, I do not say this because I hate them or because I do not submit to any properly used authority they may care to put into practice. Rather, it is because I want them to convert. Sometimes that can happen by the grace of God. “Humility, humility, humility.”

For instance, when Saint Paul reprimanded un-saint Peter because “Peter stood condemned” – sayeth the Holy Spirit (Galatians 2:11), it is nevertheless entirely true that Peter converted and became Saint Peter. This is great news. He became a martyr for Jesus. We rejoice.

The trouble is that some people seem to think that conversion is impossible, and therefore it’s cruel to encourage someone to convert and go to Sacramental Confession. Such heretics are locking themselves into sin against the Holy Spirit, the sin of thinking God’s grace is not strong enough to effect conversion, and that it is therefore a sin (to pretend) to convert and go to Confession. “Bless the sin but don’t!” they shriek with forked tongue: (1) “We’re not doing that!” (2) “We are doing that!” Such a brood of vipers.

There is hope for conversion until one takes their last breath. History has reported some high-profile personalities who have converted just before death, for example, the “good thief” on the cross, King Charles II of England, and Oscar Wilde. Anyone can repent and be forgiven but we need to pray for that grace for ourselves and others. And therefore Our Lady of the Rosary gave us the “Decade Prayer” at Fatima: “Oh my Jesus forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell; lead all souls to heaven, especially those most in need of Thy mercy”.
