At each of the places at table for the meal for the priests after the Chrism Mass there was a card put together by one of the students at the Cathedral grade school. This one is from a young lad who totally gets the priesthood. I love that. My hope is that I’ll be able to say at my judgment that I only did what I was obliged to do. In that case, thanks be to God for His patience and mercy.

Beautiful! Yes, this boy truly gets that the first “work” of a priest is sacramental. And if that is the only work the good Lord wants him to do for his state in life and/or situation that is not only enough but a totally complete work.
