Francis’ Tucho… I was trying to be nice, but…

Trying to be nice, I used to complain about Francis’ Hegelian-Rahnerianism. Hegel and Rahner have such genteel verbiage for violent dialectical materialism. But with Cardinal Tucho taking the reigns at the Holy Roman Inquisition, I think I should be more fulsome as to how I appraise such blah blah methodology. It just seems insulting to describe what they are doing with, say, the ways and means of a dumbed down Bernard Lonergan or an unanchored Hans-Georg Gadamer, or an Edmund Husserl or a Martin Heidegger.

So, why don’t I just say the following:

Francis’ Tucho would do better to appraise the truth of anything whatsoever in view of the wounds of the Living and Eternal and Absolute Truth, the Incarnate Word of the Father.

  • You guys want communication? Try the Word of the Father.
  • You guys want a listening session? Try listening to the Father say: “Listen to HIM, my beloved Son!”
  • You guys want methodology of perspective? Shove your hand into the side of Christ and touch that Most Sacred Heart still pierced open and alive, and fall to your knees, and go to Confession.
