German bishop “asks” priests to “bless” same-sex unions, citing Pope Francis & Synodal Way

That picture above is of the Fatima children just after the saw what hell was like by Immaculate Mary. They are devastated. The hell of those who lead others to hell is particularly severe. I say this all “objectively” speaking. I’m not judging anyone’s soul. But there are some who by their scandal objectively risk going to the deepest pits of hell. We pray for conversion of those scandalizing and those thus scandalized.

Having said that, I must say that I am distraught for those good priests who refuse to do what that bishop and so many like him “ask” of Jesus’ priests. It’s not a request. It is bullying, which has reference in that realm of law called lawlessness, inflicting penalties for not being absolutely obedient to what is actually a command to reject all doctrine and morality, to commit sacrilege and blasphemy.

A recalcitrant priest who simply does what priests are to do, like not blessing same-sex unions, is stripped of any assignment, has his salary removed, has his insurance cancelled, and then, there he is, living in a van down by the river. While that might be easy for me (for I have such skills) here in Western North Carolina (where it is relatively not consistently terribly cold in Winter and not consistently terribly hot in Summer), priests who are tossed on to the trash heap in Germany have to deal with a severely harsh climate in Winter.

Any good priest knows that he cannot give a same-sex union blessing referral just like he cannot give a referral to an abortion clinic if he’s, say, chaplain for a Catholic Hospital which does not do abortions. Such a referral is formal cooperation with the evil and he will take upon himself for judgment (objectively speaking) all the sins that are committed because of that referral. Objectively speaking, he would be running straight into hell.

This isn’t rocket science. No one forces you to do what is sinful. Instead, you become a martyr. You say No to the same-sex couple; you say No to the bishop; you say No to the Synod on Synodality; you say No to Jorge Bergoglio. It’s not difficult. No is the word used in a multiplicity of languages. It’s easy to pronounce. I say No all the time. So does Moses. So does Jesus. So does the Holy Spirit. So does one’s Guardian Angel. And if it comes to it, a van down by the river ain’t so bad.

And you get to avoid going to hell.

And you get the opportunity to go to heaven.
