What we have here is the kind of man, who long ago, in a time of crisis, would have been have been declared Bishop, or perhaps even Pope, by popular acclamation. But today loudly rings the warning ” I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
Low expectations = pandering, insulting Promethean condescension. Instead, Jesus takes us deadly seriously.
